My love for faces and expressions started way before I knew that I wanted to sketch them down. I started with people who were close to me. I realized, I could just pen them down on a paper without reference!
When Graphicurry happened in 2010, it was all about Designing projects. Until, I decided to do a self-learning project of caricatures of the people I knew. Since, I grew up in Bangalore almost all my life, I had a huge social circle to cover! I must have made almost forty of them in a go. Some of them are here!
Slowly, I had requests flowing in from people for me to sketch them! Oh boy, was it fun? Of course!
Was it tough? Absolutely!
Why? Because people want to get caricatured, but they don't want to see the real impression of creativity! :)
Nevertheless, I persevered, I moved on to making more these and in many forms and layouts. Finally I chanced upon my own unique style. The Classic MugShot. Once, I found how much I loved this form, I couldn't stop making!
Yep, Thats Gary Vaynerchuk ;) And he was PRETTY blown away with this!
If that doesn't get you grinning, what does!
Yep, That is the petite Alia Bhat! She was pretty pleased with this one!
So many faces, so many beautiful smiles! The motivation is endless and the scope for perfection is what keeps me going!

This was one of my most memorable videos which captured only a 'few' people who have showered me with their love and respect in terms of encouragement of my work.
Making caricatures has been not just a living for me, but a source of sheer joy while I study each face, their expressions, their peculiarities and smiles. Believe it or not, a smile can be so unique that just a different smile can make a different person!
Whenever I have my low days (just like any one else would ;) ) I come back to visit this short video which fills my soul with absolute courage to go ahead and try out something more, something better every day.
To all the artists out there, never stop trying!
